Super random idea: how about those little silver Maple Leaf coins? They are only a little over $30 each, but it's pure silver, so they *seem* expensive to many people. Also, people like shiny things.

Though yes, shiny things, and when I do find myself with a fistful of shiny new loonies I often chuckle in a profoundly dumb manner... Hmm. I'll have to look into that, thanks.

I don't remember, and I never finished it. It was a few chapters long, think there were some related stories I didn't want to read out of order... and I don't think it was a 'bad end', but I may have been worried about a sad one. I'm a sap.
